Description:

Damascus in a new dimension, made possible by the premium steel used for the first time. 101 layers encase the FC 63 core with a high carbon content - for outstanding hardness and edge retention. The chef's knife from the ZWILLING Tanrei series is a real original. It was manufactured in the Japanese city of Seki and has an extra-fine Honbazuke trigger ground by a master hand, with which you can skilfully work the finest clippings in rocking cuts. And all other values of this outstanding knife are also convincing.

You can reach the new dimension of Damascus steel with the Tanrei chef's knife in terms of hardness and edge retention. Our newly developed premium steel and an FC 63 core have been processed in the 20 cm long blade, which with a value of 63 HRC has a degree of hardness rarely reached by kitchen knives, but is still flexible.

So the inner values are right. But with a Japanese premium knife, the design should of course not be inferior to the excellent technical values. The chef's knife from the ZWILLING Tanrei series impresses right from the tip with its beautiful and individual damask pattern. An enthusiasm that continues up to the handle with its noble micarta coating.
